Cipriano is a musician, instrument maker, author, and recipient of the Governor’s Award for Execellence in the Arts and a New Mexico Living Treasure. Considered the master of New Mexico music, he is the co-curator of Música Buena, and author of New Mexican Folk Music/Cancionero del Folklor Nuevomexicano.
