SECOND ANNUAL FOLK ART FLEA MARKET!


A very specialized sale, not your usual Flea Market!
In order to continue and increase community support for exhibitions and educational programs at the Museum of International Folk Art, the Friends of Folk Art are organizing our second community-wide Folk Art Flea Market!

The Folk Art Flea Market will be held on Saturday April 4, 2009. Members of the Friends of Folk Art» are invited for Continental breakfast and first pick Saturday morning April 4 from 8 to 10 a.m.

The public will be admitted at 10 a.m. when the Museum opens.



All items will be sold in "as is" condition.

What is Folk Art? »

Ethnic Apparel - cleaned, pressed, on hangers. Please, no missing buttons or broken zips! No furs.
Jewelry - in working order, ready to wear
Toys - lead-free in working order, or, toys for display only. Nothing swallowable, no sharp parts.
Kitchen accessories - including cooking utensils, glassware, flatware, cooking pots, etc. that fall into the folk art category (i.e.- no toaster ovens or appliances)
Art - framed and stand-alone pieces.
Ceramics - no mended ceramics
Textiles, Linens & Rugs -- cleaned and ironed

PLEASE NOTE: It is up to the donor to state the value of the donated item; remember, we can't/don't give appraisals. This is between you and your tax professional.

Donations will be cheerfully accepted at the Museum from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday March 31 through Thursday April 2, 2009. If you have large items, or more than you are able to carry, please call the folk art flea hotline at 505.476.1201 so we can make arrangements to help; arrangements for early donations can also be made.
