Museum Hill:

The Museum of International Folk Art is located on Museum Hill, a beautiful part of town that we share with the Museum of Indian Arts & Culture, the Museum of Spanish Colonial Art, the Wheelwright Museum, and the Santa Fe Botanical Garden. We've got everything here: museums, a café, gardens, views, walking paths, hiking trails nearby, a labyrinth, great museum shops—we've even got our very own Plaza, the Milner Plaza.

Sister Museums:

The Museum of International Folk Art is part of the State of New Mexico's museum system, and a division of the New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs. Our sister museums in Santa Fe are the Museum of Indian Arts & Culture on Museum Hill, and the New Mexico History Museum, and the New Mexico Museum of Art in downtown Santa Fe. You can visit all of our museums by purchasing a Culture Pass, which gains you admission to New Mexico Museums and Historic Sites throughout the state. Santa Fe is well known for its cultural richness and natural beauty. In addition to our numerous museums and art galleries, Santa Fe boasts three renowned and popular Markets each year: International Folk Art Market, and  Spanish  Market in July, and Indian Market in August.  For more information on the city's many events and attractions, outdoor and leisure activities, accommodations, and world-class cuisine, visit the Santa Fe Tourism website.

Milner Plaza Labyrinth:

One of the popular features of Museum Hill is the Milner Plaza Labyrinth, located just outside of our doors. It is one of more than two dozen labyrinths in the Santa Fe area. The Milner Plaza Labyrinth is a seven-circuit pattern that was designed by Allan T. Baer of Lloyd Tryk Architects and funded by the M.A Healy Foundation. The museum and the Labyrinth Resource Group of Santa Fe host community labyrinth walk on the summer and winter solstices. The Milner Plaza Labyrinth has distinctive acoustics as a result of a surrounding wall and graduated elevations.
